Corporate Social Responsibility

Botash SA aims to embrace responsibility for our corporate actions and to encourage a positive impact on the environment and stakeholders including consumers, employees, investors, communities, and others.

Botash SA staff members also volunteer on a weekly basis at the Kopanong Care Centre Feeding Scheme.

Some of the Social Community Projects that we are involved in include:

KOPANONG CARE CENTRE (Ekurhuleni District) (Ongoing Project, started in 2014)

250 learners from Grade: R to Grade: 12 – all of whom are HIV positive
Botash SA donated a container to the school, fitted with cupboards and gas stoves as part of a feeding scheme
Botash provides food and juice so that all learners receive a meal every Saturday and Sunday
The container is used to cook and serve food from
Some of the meals provided include mince and pap and chicken and vegetables

THOLINFUNDO SCHOOL (Ekurhuleni District) (Ongoing Project, started in 2014)

300 learners from Grade: R to Grade: 7 – some of whom are HIV positive
255 of the learners are from the informal settlement which surrounds the school
Botash SA donated a container to the school, fitted with cupboards and gas stoves as part of a feeding scheme
The container is used to cook and serve food from, and all learners are provided with lunch everyday

Ekurhuleni Deaf & DumB School (Ekurhuleni District) – 2014

240 learners from Grade: R to Grade: 12 – some of whom are HIV positive
All learners are all fulltime boarders
Botash SA donated:
3 x fridges (to keep medication and food)
1 x deep freeze
200 x soccer balls
200 x netball balls
1 x hearing testing machine
Blankets

NALEDI DAY CARE (Ekurhuleni District) – 2014

30 learners aged from 4 to 10 years old
Some of the learners are HIV positive and have also been victims of abuse

Botash SA donated 30 x blankets to the school for Mandela
